The name of club to which I took Jesse was 14 Below and it WAS on 14th Street (whether Los Angeles or Santa Monica, I could not say).

14 Below is (or was) in Santa Monica. It's a classic rock'n'roll dive bar and may or may not have gone out of business recently. Former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor recorded a live album there back in 1995.
