Anyway, I hope this clears up some of the confusion regarding which show is on and which show is not happening at this time. Now if we can just nail down Mr. Ferlinghetti for September 2, I will be a happy camper.

Peace, Love, and Confusion
The show scheduled for August 19 in Golden Gate Park has been postponed indefinitely. Read more about that show at Hope and Beyond. On the other hand, the show with which I have been involved for the past 18 months, scheduled for September 2 in Speedway Meadows, is definitely on. For the latest information on our show, please visit Summer of Love 40th Anniversary Show. We continue to add talent almost every day and have recently confirmed San Francisco Poet Laureate Jack Hirschman. In addition, the cat is out of the bag regarding the Jefferson Starship who are confirmed on our show and there are several major talents who will also appear but are contractually enjoined from advertising their appearances at a free show.

Speaking of Mr. Ferlinghetti, please to give me a call when you're feeling better. I have done the deed, taken steps, and the manager of City Lghts has an envelope (my engraved stationery, no less; thank you, Book Passage, for treating your authors to nifty paper goods!) containing a handwritten invitation (I'll give you the details on the phone), both our business cards, our emails and our cell numbers.
