John "Marmaduke" Dawson

Rick on the Nelson board left a message asking about McDuke. I spoke with John two days ago and he is still not real well. In fact, he is now living in an assisted care facility in Sunnyvale. I cannot say for certain, but I would assume that the Lake Tahoe gig is not going to happen - John is still very frail. I am going down on Friday, April 15, to take him to dinner and to see Michael Tobin's band play John's song, "Black Velvet Elvis." I will know more after that. Michael's band will be at the Mountain House in Woodside, if anybody is interested.
